Daoist Yijing

In April I attended an in-depth workshop on the Shamanic Long Men Daoist Yijing (I Ching) – a practice that I had been wanting to pursue for years. As this was the last time Shifu plans to offer it, I couldn’t miss the opportunity.

This type of consultation is quite different from the Confucian Yijing (what we mostly think of as an I Ching reading.) The Daoist Yijing is based in ancient and traditional knowledge that comes from the 4000+ years old, known, Daoist written record. It brings together Yin/Yang principles, five element theory, Ba Gua (8 trigrams) concepts, and numerology. This Shamanic Daoist Yijing system (Jiǔ Gōng Bā Guà), uses the language of metaphors. We each have a collection of metaphors that reflect energy and vibrational frequencies that manifest as health, emotion, events, “life”. Following the theory of yin and yang, each metaphor contains the potential for positive or negative, light or dark, full or empty, strength or weakness, constructive or destructive. This system provides insight and tactics to harmonize the intrinsic energy of each metaphor.

I’ve been studying and absorbing the materials and started doing my “First 100” consultations in June. I’m very excited by the resonance people are finding with their consultations. As a newbie to the practice, I offer the “First 100” consultations for a minimum of $1 each – while I learn the subtleties of the system. Because of the intensity of the preparation and provision of the consultations, I’m doing at most 2 consultations a week. Contact me if you are interested in being one of the first 100!
