Sanfeng Tai Chi 13
Zhang Sanfeng created the first Tai Chi and internal martial arts form – Sanfeng Tai Chi 13 – in the 12th century, in Wu Dang, Hubei Province, China. The legend goes that he saw a magpie and a snake fighting and saw that the snake’s soft style could not be overcome by the bird. Finally, from stillness, the snake lunged and killed the bird. In this he saw that the nature of softness also includes the needle point of hardness.
