Health Support for Fever/Flu/Colds, etc.

Here are some teas, Qi Gong practices, and scanning exercises to help mitigate the symptoms of flu. cold, fever, etc. and to help with improving immune function. 

To help with the symptoms:

For flu/cold/fever/cough:Combine

  • 1-2 inches fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
  • 1-2 spring onion(s) white part chopped coarsely
  • 4 cups water.

Bring to a boil, then simmer for 20 minutes. Bundle up, drink a cup and sweat. Rest. Drink the rest later…

For immune function:

  • astragalus (1/2 stick)
  • gouji berry 1-2 tablespoons
  • dried honeysuckle 1-2 tsp
  • honey to taste (add before serving)

Steep in near boiling water for at least 10 minutes. Improves immune function, reduces fever. Makes up to a quart of tea.

Qi Gong practice:

Tai Chi Qi Gong 18 part 1 to improve immune function.

Work Lung points:

Lung 1 (chest) and Lung 8 (wrist) (look online for locations). Stimulate for @ 2 minutes (not more) to improve lung Qi quality.

Self-scanning 2x per day: morning & evening

Stretch and open the chest to support the lungs. Avoid excessive sweets and alcohol.
