Today, March 22, 2021, marks the one-year anniversary of Wild Peace Tai Chi Virtual Studio. In that year you have joined me for ̴1,000 classes! I am so grateful to you for taking this journey with me. In celebration I hope you will join me on zoom this Saturday (March 27th) at 10:00am Eastern Daylight Time, for an open hour of Qigong! Feel free to invite family and friends to join in as well.
When the lock down was imminent, I sat with the question: “What practices would benefit my students during this time and what do I need to stay healthy in isolation?” From that came…
Core courses:
- daily
- hard Qigong and stretching,
- nourishing life Qigong,
- meditation, and
- weekly
- emotional check-ins with practicing presence, and
- Sanfeng Tai Chi 13 practice.
Teacher training moved online:
- level 2 through June last year,
- level 1 began in January this year.
Online offerings for the Cancer Support Community morphed into:
- meditation for health care workers, and
- a weekly hour-long Tai Chi/Qi Gong class.
And I offered a few special workshops:
- Wu Dang Hun Yuan (Primordial) Qi Gong 3,
- Remote Qi Healing, and
- Transformative Meditation.
With the live streaming technology, students from coast-to-coast, to quote a student, have had the opportunity to participate in “Qi Gong Camp.” I am so pleased and encouraged to hear how profoundly these practices have affected you, how they have changed your life, and how they have offered a welcome respite from news, stress, anxiety and more. They have done that for me as well.
During this time, I also launched my new website– wildpeacetaichi.com. The development of the site was a great opportunity for me to practice presence and release old trauma from my former tech professional days. I even had fun learning new tools and focusing on the creative aspect of software development! The website is continuing to evolve and can now be extended to offer more options for what, when, where and how you learn and practice the Daoist arts.
So, here we are, poised for the next year… Lock down is beginning to ease up and we are slowly emerging from isolation to create the new normal. I saw my first private client in person ten days ago. I’m not sure when I will be ready to offer in-person classes, but the recent hint of springtime has certainly pulled my attention out-of-doors. As we move into this next phase, I hope you will take five minutes to give me feedback about what you liked/didn’t like about last year’s classes and what offerings you would like to see next year.
I look forward to walking the path with you in this upcoming year!
Wishing you the very best,
Corinne
