Reading List

Many of you have asked about books to augment your learning process. Listed below is a small selection of books that I’ve found useful in my journey. It is by no means complete. The Taoists are great believers in documenting their alchemical journeys for future generations of practitioners and there are literally thousands of books on the topic.

** The Way of Energy, Master Lam Kam Chuen

** Traditional Acupuncture: The Law of the Five Elements, Dianne M. Connelly, Ph.D.

Essential Anatomy for Healing and Martial Arts, Marc Tedeschi

The Healing Art of Qi Gong, Master Hong Liu with Paul Perry

Master Within: Passion for Life, Master Tseng, Yun Xiang (a.k.a. Wu Dang Chen)

Qigong Through the Seasons, Ronald H. Davis

The Way of Qigong, Ken Cohen

**Seven Taoist Masters, Eva Wong (Her translations are excellent)

Being Taoist: Wisdom for Living a Balanced Life, Eva Wong

Holding Yin, Embracing Yang, Eva Wong

Chinese Healing Exercises: The Tradition of Daoyin, Livia Kohn

The Buddhist I Ching, Chih-hsu Ou-i (trans. Thomas Cleary)

**Tao Te Ching, Lao Tsu (trans. Gia-Fu Feng and Jane English)

** These are usually the first books I recommend
