Wishing you a most wonderful Holiday Season, with good food, friends, family and a truly uplifting 2025!
(and maybe even a Reindeer Race!)
This morning at @4:20 am eastern the winter solstice was exact and the northern earth prepared for its return to light. The brief pause in the cycle, just as the brief pause between exhale and inhale in Tai Chi, marks the beginning of a new cycle. That moment that is rife with possibility, with potential for what the next breath may bring.
In the time of winter darkness we can draw on the wisdom which teachers have shone a light on to help us remember who we are: divine spirits having a human existence. It is a time for turning within, for meditation, for establishing or re-establishing that connection with the Divine within. We each have that spark within us. The great teachers have come to us across cultures, across millennia to remind us of who we are and to help guide us back home, back to union with divine spirit.
Each culture holds a piece of the puzzle within its spiritual practices, its method of enabling connection with the universal field, the Tao. Each method contains within it the seeds of the original teachings. Those seeds, those diamonds are the most precious thing we have. Our practices of Tai Chi, Qigong, yoga, meditation, and prayer help us to polish seeds and nurture our understanding and growth. Our ability to connect with the divine field is based on Qi, Prana, Grace. Taoists believe this ability depends on two things:a strong, healthy vehicle that has the capacity to hold and sustain the flow of energy, and a quiet spirit that can sustain and hold the concentration needed to maintain the connection to spirit. The third factor at play is our ability to listen and hear through the connection. This ability is sometimes called intuition.
I hope that 2025 will bring you opportunity and wisdom to build your health, your mindfulness, and your skill to establish and sustain that inner knowing!
Wishing you a most wonderful, fulfilling, and blessed 2025.
Peace, Joy and Love,
Corinne
