New Moon Medley

Many ancient traditions and modern practices recognize and tap into the power of the moon’s cycles. Daoism, as a tradition that follows nature, follows the lunar cycle. Special meditations are practiced, incense is burned, the beginning of a new cycle is honored.

Wild Peace Studio co-hosts with Jane Henley a monthly new moon gathering. A medley of Qigong, Meditation, journaling, reading and discussion are planned. Because the new moon falls on different days of the week, please note that the TIME for the gatherings will vary month-to-month depending on the day of the week.

Thoughts on a Still Night  – Li Bai (701-762)

Moonlight so bright before my bed
I took it for frost on the ground
I raise my head to the moon,
then lower it and think of home.
