I receive a variety of newsletters from healers and spiritual teachers around the country. A consistent theme, and one that I am also seeing with clients and students, is that of emotional processing and release. As earth’s vibrational frequency shifts and refines we experience and manifest the changes each in our own ways. Shifting awareness, releasing of karmic debts, and processing of emotional wounds are all part of this change. You may have noticed your own old wounds or traumas presenting themselves for healing. We now have an opportunity to release the old and integrate the new, higher frequency.
There are many tools to help us navigate these shifts. Developing presence through physical practices such as Tai Chi, Qi Gong and Yoga are powerfully supportive and can even initiate the awareness of the issues that are ready for release. Meditation, music (gentle, integrated music), being in nature all allow the stilling of the mental chatter to support processing and transformation. Journaling and art support the clearing and release of the old emotions. Should the emotions seem overwhelming psychological support is available.
When we experience an energetic shift, its not uncommon to feel confused and untethered. The commomplace becomes new and we have to learn how to live our ordinary and extraordinary life all over again. Eventually the new becomes familiar and we are ready for the next step.
I encourage you to establish a regular daily practice of exercise and meditation to support your health through the upcoming holiday season and into the New Year. Stressing our bodies with rich food, alcohol, poor sleep, and being with family or being alone during the holidays can trigger old, unresolved emotional wounds. Establishing or maintaining a regular daily practice in the face of these challenges can, at a minimum, support or even strengthen our body, mind and spirit!
